So if you have files that don't fully comply, then give it a try first, before you start changing the file names. The current scan engine uses internally a slightly more forgiving naming convention as described above. These additional elements are ignored during file scanning. Furthermore, it's allowed to have additional information elements between the episode number and the file extension.
